great climbing trousers.really like the reinforced areas so should last a long time.
Perfect for the outdoors...
good, although too small and had to return for bigger size
After wearing through the bum of a similar pair of Prana trousers I decided to give these a go. These are a really good weight for UK trad where you spend a lot of time sitting to belay, banging your knees, thrutching and generally abusing yourself. At the same time they're not overbuilt and don't impede movement at all so they've become my go to climbing trousers for sport, bouldering and indoor as well. Time will tell but they seem likely to take some proper abuse. The positioning of the knee patches is a clever detail as well given they're biased towards the inside, meaning they're facing the rock when pressed into the wall. In terms of sizing they're spot-on, just be sure to read the size chart and measuring instructions carefully. Given I'm 6'2" I was pleased to find the regular inseam is plenty long enough in L. The only thing I'd change are the drawstring cuffs. They flop about when untied so I've just cinched them enough to get my feet in and out and tied them off. Adjusting them on the fly is a bit off a faff so I generally don't bother. An elasticated drawstring would make it much easier to slide them up over the calves to cool off, something I did frequently with the similar Prana and Wild Country trousers I had. Overall these are the most comfortable climbing trousers I've worn, they sit well under a harnes and I'm pretty sure they'll last. I can't ask for much more than that.
These trousers are fab! They look good and they’re tough stretchy material - great for every day as well as climbing. My son lives in them.
