I love these trousers, so comfy and incredibly high quality too. The bonus with 3rd Rock is that they’re fully sustainable and have a fab ethos. I’ve seen so many fellow climbers in 3rd Rock gear and understandably so. I can see these standing the test of time compared to cheap brands. My only very small complaint is that I bought these after having another pair of Skat trousers and despite being exactly the same size, they are much bigger, almost to the point of being too big and the others are erring on the too small.
Great. Super fit and comfortable to wear. Perfect for cooler climbs and the material feels flexible but also well made and robust.
So so so good! They feel amazing, looka amazing and are so comfortable. It's obvious 3rd rock products are of the utmost quality. Im usually a size 10-12 and got a Medium - size small would have probably fit better but regardless I am very very happy with this purchase. Cannot wait to try them climbing!!
It’s a love-hate relationship and I will return them. Love: their fit around the bum and thighs is great and they make a good shape. The fabric is sturdy, thick enough for outdoor fun without being scared of ripping holes on gritstone. At the same time, the fabric stretches and feels soft. Hate: The colour aside (I thought they were more red than flourescent pink from the picture...) my biggest issue with them is that they are not made for women. Two reasons: the waist is low and although this looks nice when I stand up, it reveals your bum crack when you squat, sit in a harness or are otherwise active. Due to the lovely hormones coursing in our bodies, women also experience days when their bellies are rounder, bloated before periods etc. When I spend so much money on a pair of comfortable trouser in which I can move without restriction then this is what I want to be able to do. It’s not me it’s you: now the first reaction we have when something doesn’t fit is to blame our own bodies - and we shouldn’t. I talked to two friends who also own these trouser (also climbers and we are all similar but different shapes). We have all experienced the bum crack issue and the waist problem that squeezes any belly in an uncomfortable way in these trousers. What if... ... you added a wide elasticated waist band to this model? This is what makes other climbing trousers the one thing you want to wear all day every day, when active and when not. Easy fix and then I would come and buy them again... in a different colour!
